She is 24 years old, and works as a model while studying Law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Additionally, María holds an English language certificate from the University of Cambridge – ESOL Examination.

Passionate about making a difference, María José has led impactful social campaigns in Colombia in support of children battling cancer. Through initiatives such as Tolitapiton, “Reinado Oncológico”, and more, she has become a voice of hope, dignity, and advocacy for these young warriors.

Her leadership and eloquence have also taken her beyond borders, representing both her school and Colombia at renowned international forums, including the Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) in Boston and the National High School Model United Nations (NHSMUN) in New York.
